Assignment #4 – 10/24/25

This assignment required the use of color theory terms and concepts. The five color theory terms I chose were:

  • High key – consisting of higher value or lighter colors.
  • Hue – one of the set of colors on the color wheel that all other colors are derived from.
  • Saturation – how undiluted or close to the original color something is.
  • Value – how close a color is to either white (light) or black (dark).
  • Low key – consisting of lower value or darker colors.

Additionally, the three color theory concepts I chose were:

Analogous – three colors that are beside each other on the color wheel.
Cool and Warm – warm colors are red through yellow, cool colors are blue/green/purple.
Monochromatic – Three shades/tones/tints of the same base color.
